FIRING & PICK UP

How long does it take to get my pottery back?

Our standard turnaround time is 5 days from when you paint your piece.

During major holidays, turnaround may be extended by one additional day.  We always do our best to stay on schedule and get pieces out as quickly as possible!

Will you call or text me when pottery is ready?

No - we do not contact customers when pottery is ready.

We operate on a consistent 5-day turnaround, so you can plan to pick up your item based on that timeframe unless told otherwise during your visit.

Can I pay extra to have my pottery rushed?

No - we do not offer rushed firing.

All pottery must go through a multi-day kiln process that cannot be safely rushed.  We always aim to fire pieces as quickly as possible.

You are welcome to call and check if your items are available early - but we cannot guarantee it.

How long will you hold my pottery?

We guarantee to hold all finished pottery for 30 days

We do our best to keep pieces longer when possible, but cannot guarantee storage beyond the 30-day window.

If you are nearing 30 days since painting, please reach out to the studio to discuss options.

POTTERY CARE & QUALITY

Is my pottery food safe?

Yes! All pieces are finished with a food-safe glaze.

They are safe for food and drink and microwave safe for quick reheating.  Handwashing is recommended to preserve longevity.

What if something happens to my pottery after I take it home?

Once pottery leaves the studio, we are no longer responsible for any damage that may occur.

We recommend handling your piece with care, especially when transporting and washing, to keep it in the best condition.

Can I put my pottery in the dishwasher, microwave, or oven?

We recommend handwashing most pottery to keep it looking its best over time.

Using a dishwasher may cause wear on standard pottery.  Microwave use is safe for quick reheating.

Stoneware pieces, however, are dishwasher safe, microwave safe, and oven safe.

What if something happens to my pottery during firing?

Each piece goes through a high-temperature kiln process, and while we take great care, minor imperfections can occur during the firing process.  This may include small spots, glaze variations, or slight blemishes - these are a normal part of handmade pottery.

As long as your piece is fully functional and food-safe, these natural variations are not considered defects.

If there is a significant issue, we review those situations case-by-case and will always work with you to find a fair solution.  These situations are rare.

PROJECT FLEXIBILITY

What if I don't finish my piece?

No problem!

We will pack your project up so you can return and finish it at a later date.  We can also provide small cups of glaze for you to take home if you'd prefer to complete your piece at home.

We are unable to store unfinished pottery at our studio.

Do you offer take home kits?

Yes! We offer to-go kits so you can paint at home.

We provide everything you need - just return your pieces to us for glazing and firing.

You can shop online here or in studio for take home kits.
